Cartier Tank Solo: From Lady Diana to Finally My Wrist
I have been wanting to score this watch since i first saw it on a magazine almost 20 years ago. It was on the late Princess of Wales’ wrist, a sleek and sophisticated watch.
For me, this watch is a true classic that goes well with mostly everything. Why mostly? Because i cannot picture myself wearing this watch to do a wall climbing. Other than for heavy-duty activities, i believe this watch is nice touch for my everyday – from formal to casual, this watch will complement and enhance my looks.
Originally bought this watch second-handed exactly a year ago. It was a lucky day for me because i wasn’t planning to get one at the time, then a message appeared on my phone saying my trusted secondhand store have it – exactly on my size and material i have been wanting. What made this watch extra special for me is it is a twin watch with my best friend who is having her wedding that same weekend. Christmas came early on late May for me in 2024, since i was looking for something i can wear for the wedding.

The only thing that made me reconsidered having this watch is because its quartz system, meaning once every few times i need to replace its battery. But since they stopped producing this model and upgraded it to Tank Must, i knew i had to secure it while the chance is there. The newer model is slightly looking more square than the classic one and i prefer to have the more rectangular one.

No wonder this watch has been sported by royalties names like Lady Diana and Jackie O Kennedy to celebrities like Rami Malek and Jacob Elordi, The Cartier Tank Solo is not just watch to show you time, it became a subtle status symbol for those who are chic and class.
